Hi Diane,

Oh how I remember those power chains and stiffer wires combined. I

also have bands on all my molars plus a crowned tooth because the

bracket wouldn't stay on. So I have a total of 8 bands in all. I

was upset at first because I have the clear brackets up top and my OD

replaced some of those clear brackets with the metal bands. Oh well,

they will all soon be off!

I know what you mean by hoping that your surgery comes sooner than

what was planned for. The worst part of this entire Orhtognathic

surgery is the waiting for that surgery date. I was originally

promised I would be ready at 18 months into the braces, which ended

up being 27 months until I had the surgery. So stay positive and

what ever happens know that your OS and OD are doing their best to

give you that functional bite and beautiful smile that will be yours

for a lifetime. So even though it seems like forever, it really is

only a short period for having a lifetime of beautiful smiles & happy

chewing!!

I am rambling so let me get off of here. I am supposed to be

working..haha
