Well, even though I have to eat soft foods, I am sooo happy. I've

been eating pasta, I love pasta, and garlic bread, just the middle

out of it. I also had a toaster strudel for breakfast today, not

something I normally like, but simply divine tasting darling. LOL.

I'm also feeling more comfortable eating out at my favorite

restaurants, even though I am eating different food than normal. I

have no clue about whether my splint will be left in longer now. My

appointment with my regular OS is on Friday, so I will find out

then. Can you believe how far postop we are? A couple of days and

you will be 8 weeks, and then right afterwards I will be too! Right

after surgery when I would read the posts on here I would feel so

jealous and think that time would always crawl slowing. Looking

back, it wasn't to bad, was it? The first couple of weeks of

healing are always the worst, and once you get back into your normal

routine time flies. I don't know if I told you. My husband and I

have our 10 year wedding anniversary the beginning of October (I

married when I was a teenager) and we're going on a cruise to the

Bahamas. Dumb us, we booked our flight and cruise without even

thinking, WE'RE GOING IN THE HURRICANE SEASON! Oh well, I'm sure it

will work out. I'm especially excited because my weight has stayed

off, and I'm getting good deals on end of the summer clothes. I may

even try a bikini. Or maybe NOT. Take care.
