non-rss growth quesiton-brain mri

I have a question for any of you out there that are familiar with

this. My oldest son was born ave. size/weight and fell of charts by

1yr...dipped really low then up..crazy charts until finally began to

follow some growth pattern at or just below charts by 3 yrs or so (dad

is 6 1). Stopped gaining weight at 6 yrs and by almos 7 was 35

lbs..then pericatin helped him gain but not grow...anyways, his igf-1

(i think that's the name) measured low just like Autumn's, the doc said

it was a 46 and normal for his age was like a 43-370 or something so he

measured borderline gh deficient. His thyroid levels also are exactly

borderline, it is the lowest measurement before considered low

thyroid. His geneticist wants a mri of his brain but didn't tell me

what for..just said to rule out everything. It wasn't urgent, he said

to wait until things calmed down with Autumn and Summer. Anyone had

this done?
