Guest guest
Aw, , what a sad but sweet story. But, at least you knew he was OK. My lost doggie story... My last collie was a blue merle. For those who've never seen one, there are different color collies...sable & white (like Lassie), black, tan & white and blue merle (grey & white and quite stunning). Obviously this is somewhat unusual coloring. Anyway, he got out of the yard one day, and I went through h*ll trying to find him. Even the neighborhood kids were looking for me. He would be an easy dog to spot also, at 95 pounds and with that coloring. Well, he was gone for 3 days, and I was frantic and sick. Then, some kids told me they had seen him down the street at this old couple's house. So, I go down there, ring the bell, the lady answers the door, and there's my baby right behind her. I screamed and cried and told her how frantic I had been. She just says to me, " Oh, I thought nobody wanted him, we used to have a collie, so we decided to keep him. " I looked at her totally stunned! Here is a well-groomed, well-behaved, obviously pure-bred dog with a collar...duh! If she hadn't been so old, I probably would have smacked her! Some people! in NJ *********************** > > I lost my lovely cat, Nacho Kitty. He was an outside cat, but he would come in when I got home from work and he would go on his daily adventure every morning when I left. Every now and then he would pull an all nighter but it was rare. One day he didn't come home. I looked everywhere, posted a sign on the apartment mail boxes. To no avail. My Nacho Kitty was gone. 2 1/2 years later I was going to work and there he was sitting at the window in someones apartment. I just stared and cried a little. I spoke to the person inside and > she said he moved into her back patio a few years ago and she finally took him in. He was loved very much so I let him stay there. She tried to let me have him but I couldn't do that to her. She loved him too. > Funny thing, I named him Nacho because he was the color of Nacho cheese, her son named him Cheesy for the same reason. > > > > Yukon,OK!!!!! >
