Guest guest
Hi all, I am thinking of taking a new medication, but one of the ingredients is corn starch, so that worries me. What do you think? June

Cellulose isn't illegal. Neither is acidophilus, obviously. I'm wondering what filler you're using that would be illegal? I'm pretty surprised that you need those three other drugs when you're on the diet AND taking LDN for Crohn's. May I ask how long you've been on LDN?n>> >>>> Hi all,>>>> I am thinking of taking a new medication, but one of the ingredients is >> corn starch, so that worries me. Guest guest
According to http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/legal/legal_illegal_d-n.htm , dextrose is illegal. Magnesium is pretty easy to find legal though. Does your husband suffer from diarrhea? If so, don't get magnesium oxide or magnesium citrate, as they both draw water into the bowel. If I recall, magnesium glycinate is bowel neutral. Can anyone second this, or am I wrong? Guest guest
I make my own LDN with 50 MG Naltrexone tablets, which has illegals in it. I know I still need anxiety meds. My insurance made me switch from Effexor to the generic Venflafaxine, and my OCD and anxiety has been worse ever since (I don't digest the whole pill, which apparently is common with this crappy generic). If I don't take my birth control pill, I'm bothered by ovarian cysts (and become anemic faster). I take Zyrtec for allergies, and I'm simply not comfortable stopping Pentasa. That's it in a nutshell :-). I've been on LDN since last Dec/Jan. I don't have knee pain anymore, and I sleep a bit better on it, but I haven't noticed any difference gut-wise. I still eat a pretty limited diet. I can't say it's boosted my immune system either. The whole time I was on Humira and Imuran, I never caught a single cold/flu/virus. I've caught something now though (first time in many years), and have had whatever this virus like thing is for over a week. Seems LDN is the not my miracle drug :-( Holly Crohn's SCD 12/01/08 > > > Why does your LDN have an illegal? Cellulose isn't illegal. Neither is > acidophilus, obviously. Guest guest
Also, you can get him epsom baths to soak him - that will also make him very sleepy, so if he does it before bedtime, will help with sleep as well. Guest guest
I was just listening to a podcast from weightandwellness.com (nutritionists) and they said the exact same thing. Correct me if that was wrong. I say supposed to be, because for me no, it is not. But it's very mild. THe oxide form I think could unconstipate an elephant.
Guest guest
And the oxide form didn't help me at all. Guest guest
I tried both forms and it helped at first but then stopped working and my symptoms worsened.
