Anyone w/gummy smile who had surgery in Oakland Kaiser?

Hello,

My name is . My orthodontist strongly encouraged me to get the

surgery and I got approved in Kaiser. Everything was fine until one of

my friends at work had the surgery done [at a different facility].

After the surgery her nose changed so much that it made her look very

different. A lot of people in the office think she looked better

(overall) before the surgery. Now, I'm not sure if I want to do the

surgery. I'm afraid that I will look worst after. I have no doubt my

smile will look better but I'm concerned about my overall appearance.

I have a gummy smile and I would be having both upper and lower jaw

surgery in Kaiser in Oakland. My orthodontist is Dr. Marcel. I would

love to hear from anyone who had my same problem and went through a

similar surgery. I really don't know what to do.
