Guest guest
Hi Pam,, I had no lower lip numbness at all. My upper lip is still a little swollen. If I get a chance I will upload a picture showing the swelling. It is only noticeable close up. Yes, the numbness was my biggest complaint regarding the surgery. It does though get better as each days goes by. I really found that at week 5 post op, things were so much better. At 5 weeks post op the majority of the swelling had decreased along with most of the numbness. So hang in there because it will surely get better! At 3 months post op, I am very happy with my results. I would surely do it again and have no regrets. I am sure in a few weeks you will be saying the same thing! I can remember back when I was at where you are now. It was surely frustrating dealing with the numbness and that drooling. I also went through periods of the nose running with no warning. The drooling started getting better at about 3 to 4 weeks post op and the nose started getting better around 5 weeks post op. Even though it may seem like forever now for you until all this gets better, I hope it helps you to hear that it will get better before you know it! Just take one day at a time and anytime you have concerns just know we are here to help!
