Guest guest
Hey everyone. Thanks to all of you with your posts/messages. Over the past year since got my braces on I have read many of your experiences and I am thankful that you have shared them. It helped put me at ease. Monday I underwent lower BSSO. So far things are great. Not too much pain, just a lot of pressure and my lower lip and chin are numb. I noticed that some ot the swelling is starting to decline. I've been very coonsistent with ice packs and medications. My Oral Surgeon is a personal friend of mine who I've considered this procedure for about 4 years or so. I was quite apprehensive at first, but I knew I was in goos hands. I go back today for a check up. I have a splint with band right now. My OS has me opening my jaw a little a few times a day for exercise. Suprisingly there is not a lot of pain when I do this. I go back today for my first checkup. If all looks good, on Friday I may get to have some looser bands placed on. The splint will be in place for 4-6 weeks. I hope to add some pictures soon.
