Hi Marissa,

I'm six months post op from upper jaw surgery, I will be having another op Dec

2nd. I was nervous and exited about my surgery too, as I also had major nose

reconstruction, cheek bone and bone graft surgery the same time as jaw surgery.

The results are amazing, I look so mch better since my surgery.

I had an NG tube put in during my surgery so I wouldn't be sick.

Hi Marissa,

That is a pretty fast surgery date from the date you got your

braces!! That is great! I am preop, so can't help you a lot there,

but there are a lot of people who have just recently had their

surgery, and they are great about posting their information and

experience. There are some links on the left side of this page that

take you to some really great informational sites too. Good luck

with your research too!

Hugs,

Fran

Hi Sara! I'm also considering cheek bone surgery along with my jaw

surgery. May I ask you what exactly cheek bone procedure/tecnique

you had (augmentation, implants?) and what doc you had? I'm very

happy that you're so pleased with your result. Although I know there

are risks and no guarantee of a good outcome, I can hardly wait

until it's my turn.

Hugs

Hi julia,

I'm not sure of the technical name but my surgeon used some of the bone graft

to build up my cheek bones, he also did something else but i'm not sure what I

will ask him next time I see him.

I live in the UK and had my surgery done here in the UK by a top surgeon.

When are you having your surgery?

Hi !

Those are really pleasant news for me, as I'm living much more

closer to UK than USA! I live in Sweden. So you were/are happy with

your results. May I ask you who your surgeon was? And how long ago

was it that you had your surgery?

Thank you so much for sharing! I'm so excited now, cause it seemed

like the only " top surgeons " were located in USA (which is quite

troublesome to travel to since it's quite a long way from where I

live).

Well, thank you again.
