asthetics- both upper and lower jaw surgery

Hello,

I have a gummy smile and I'm " supposed " to have upper and lower jaw

surgery. I know I could benefit from the surgery because I have a

bad overbite but I'm extremely concerned about aesthetics. My main

concern is that I have heard of people whose tip of the nose is

raised slightly when they have upper jaw surgery. Has this happened

to anyone? Does everyone feel they look better after surgery? I'm

afraid I will look unattractive after the surgery.

I have looked through some pictures posted but most of the time I

can't tell what type of surgery people had. If anyone had a gummy

smile before the surgery and has a picture posted, would you please

let me know so I can see it and have an idea what to expect.
