Tina (coffee, to have or to have not?)

Hi Tina,

I agree with another poster who said that we do so much with this

process, we do deserve certain indulgences. For me, it is definitely

coffee. I had NONE for almost the first 6 months post op. Now I do 2

mugs of decaf every morning. I mean, I gave up a nearly 20 year

smoking habit to have surgery, carbonation and caffeine, sugar, etc.

I do splurge on GOOD decaf, however. I get Millstone whole bean

coffee in Vanilla Nut Cream (decaf). Once I accidentally got regular

and oh boy! That was a lively week for me....I think that was the

last time I scrubbed the bathroom from top to bottom LOL

Unless you're buying Swiss Water process decaf, I believe that even

decaf coffee has TRACE amounts of caffeine. For me, it's enough to

get me going in the morning. Just make up for with the water, as

always!
