Good Morning Shirley,

Yes, it does make it quite difficult to eat with the way the bands

are positioned. I was hoping that he was going to put them in hook

to hook instead of around the brackets. Putting them around the

brackets does make it quite tighter which I am sure the OS was

wanting to stop the relapse. I didn't realize how much my jaws had

shifted since surgery until he put the bands on to bring it back to

the proper position. I just hope I have enough bands to last until

next Wednesday. I have already broken two. My OS only gave me about

6 bands to last for the week.

I am so happy for you that you are now finally able to eat real

food. Take it slow at first until your jaw gets used to the

chewing. I joked with my OS and told him that I was ready to eat

steak now. He chuckled and said you would have to cut that steak in

very very small pieces. Okay, we can do..(haha) I am sure he was

joking telling me that nope, you are not quite ready to tackle steak

just yet! I will ask him again on Wednesday..(haha)

The cheesecake was so enjoyed! My hubby bought me a digital camera

for my birthday, so hopefully I will be able to finally post a

picture or two by early next week.

Enjoy that eating and always take an extra bite for me!!
