Guest guest
Dear Friends, I'm sitting here on my 2nd fabulous cup of coffee. I make it in a French press, then pour it into a big mug with about half a cup of half and half which has been heated in the microwave. I add one Equal, just so it's a " diet drink. " I used to have one of these a day, now I have to have two. When I'm not at home, Starbuck's makes a pale imitation called a breve latte. I feel guilty about this and think I should cut it back to one or none for my New Year's Resolution. 2002 Resolution was *only French wines* in 2002. I maintained that for a while, but now I don't even drink. And since I don't drink anymore, I can't begin to share what my 2003 Resolution was, but let me assure you, it was *quite* fun and successful. <EG> My weight is as close to perfect as I can imagine, my cholesterol is barely over 100. Am I insisting on the need to suffer? Should I just enjoy it and die happy? Or is this stuff really bad for me? On one hand, I think since we don't absorb as much fat, it's just a perk of the surgery, to be taken along with downsides, like stinky poop and no Italian cream cake. The vestiges of obesity and self-flagellation may never end. It's all much better, but it's still there a bit. in Austin RNY April 1998 315/
