I'm not certain, but most butters contain lactic acid and they are okay...

I just found this by searching the group for lactic acid:

I'm not certain, but most butters contain lactic acid and they are okay...Also, lactic acid is what is produced when things are fermented, like milk into yogurt, cabbage into sauerkraut...definitely legal.
