Guest guest
That was much needed care and concern for us who are struggling, thank you for being so thoughtful. It is you, and your warmth that is a breath of fresh air. I was almost fully recovered from what I've been trying to get over, then I sat down and read your email and it kicked me into full recovery! I'm ready to be myself again. It's not fair to my kids, when I get so overwhelmed. advocate22003 wrote: It's a cold lonely evening. The air is crisp and grabs your throat as you take a breath. The music playing in the background is soothing yet brings about those memories that are dear to your heart and should have long ago been washed away with tears of forgiveness. It's as if life is only present because it's being allowed to dance in front of you, little steps and sweeps, only to pause when a fleeting thought escapes your mind. The children are asleep and life suddenly presents itself in all its glory. Pain, sadness, fear, denial, smiles, laughter and excitement – emotions are continually darting through the mind; which one will be chosen during this period of stillness when one finally has a moment to decide to conjecture about life's constant battles with oneself? It's not easy being required to satisfy the needs of all those around oneself. It's quite uncomfortable being unable to find that place of comfort when everything around you is in disarray. Where is the balance? Where is the peace of mind and feeling of complete absence of mind when you can escape the daily grinds of fear and un- resolve? Only we have the answers; they are there right in front of us. They are the unexpected phone calls, laughter in the voice of a child, the beat of the music playing in the background and the silence that surrounds us once the tears wash away. Love is around us. Time, peace and patience surround our ever increasing need for that love. Believe it, it is there and it will engulf you over and over again. Faith. I wrote this thinking of the many individuals on this listserve who are going through many difficult journeys in their lives. I hope you all will find peace in your home at some point soon. You all need each other. Thinking of you all. - H
Guest guest
Wow. I'm very impressed! My sister is a writer and I think I'll send this along to her, with your permission. I think she'd find it very touching. advocate22003 wrote: It's a cold lonely evening. The air is crisp and grabs your throat as you take a breath. Guest guest
Jeanie - LOL - my pleasure - but, if she's a writer - she'll probably find lot's of gramatical errors, punctuation errors, and maybe even a spelling error or two! LOL But, I'll take that as a compliment! Thank you. Who does your sister write for - may I ask? I've always been interested in writing - I've been doing it since a child. I've written several books - but, not sure where they all went. I know my mom got mad at me once when I was about 10 and she threw one of my 400 page books out. It was a fantasy book about some children wandering in the forest and their adventures together. I quit writing ever since. I only dabble here and there. My girlfriend and I used to write every summer during our grade school years. And, she was an artist - so, I would always beg her to draw my pictures for me! I'd love to read anything your sister may have written. I'm always up for reading new things. I love to read too. I'm rambling again! That's what happens when my dh is gone for the weekends! Thanks again! - H It's a cold lonely evening. The air is crisp and grabs your throat > as you take a breath. Guest guest
Debbie (my sister) majored in Literature at St. Bonaventure University after graduating from High School. She moved to Michigan and wrote for and edited the local news paper. She was offered a secretarial position and a HUGE pay raise so, unfortunately, she gave the paper up. advocate22003 wrote: Jeanie - LOL - my pleasure - but, if she's a writer - she'll probably find lot's of gramatical errors, punctuation errors, and maybe even a spelling error or two! Guest guest
Jeanie - hey - she can still use her writing skills in her position - and I'm sure the executives there are loving her talents. I was born in MI so - I'm partial to the state <grin> Hopefully, she's enjoying the cold! LOL Really, it's a beautiful state. - H It's a cold lonely > evening.
