Guest guest
Just be sure to run it by your ortho. I had a lot of crowns, and they had to use some special cement to hold my brackets in place. I was warned that any baking soda product would weaken the cement. Hoping you have none of those troubles.... Guest guest
Hi Diane, Glad to hear you are getting the lab tests repeated. The lab tests the doctor is ordering is for what the metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance. (Dr. tested me for it as father had heart disease and type 2 diabetes). I take a minimal dose of statin (Zocor 10mg) which has brought the cholesterol down to 154. But I have too many of the LDL particles, so now they want me on Niacin. Always something. But definitely repeat the tests. The hemoglobin A1C is a measure of long term blood surgery control (about 3 mos). It isn't an actual blood sugar number, but is a reported in % if I remember correctly and one wants it to be about 6 or less. Make sure they check your thyroid, too, as it can cause the cholesterol to go up. Have fun a the conference. Try to get out of LA before the work traffic!! Otherwise what would take an hour and half can take double that time. Shirley
