Almond flour question

Hi, I am really new at SCD. I browsed through the posts and I can't seem to find

an answer for this. So I figured I will ask. I have been following SCD for the

last 3 weeks. I ventured the other day to bake a banana pie using the almond

meal that I got from Trader Joe. My family loves it but my colon decided

otherwise and I am in pain today yet again.

I am not sure though because the SCD book said that after the initial diet for 5

days one can have a muffin for breakfast that is baked from the almond flour. Is

my mistake introducing almonds too soon or should I have been using the almond

flour instead?

I find that after I switched to the SCD I have been mostly constipated, which is

so unusual after having diarrhea... yet is still bothersome... Not sure how to

fix that either. ;-)
