Guest guest
Welcome Beth! Hi! My name is Pat and I am g-ma to . is now 4 years old, (he was under a year when we joined the list serve) and his stats are down with my signature. was also wearing a size one shoe when he started walking. Do you have Walmart in TO??? If so, we used to buy a wonderful high top walking shoe there for around $10 a pair. They had a nice rubber sole, that was flexible enough for him, while still providing good support. Gross motor delays are not uncommon for RSS children. Sydney's development sounds very similar to 's. He finally sat prone around 15 m of age. Once he could sit solidly on his own, he learned to butt scoot, instead of crawl. He started walking around 21 m. He did eventually learn to crawl after his second b-day. Speech delays are also common. was only saying single words, or at the most, two word combinations, last year when he started preschool, and very few people could understand him. This year he's improved in leaps and bounds!! He now speaks in short sentences, and I would say he's understood about 1/2 the time. Hope this helps!
