I am not sure if the bone not properly fusing together is referred to as non-union. I probably should of asked more questions, but at this point my OS is still hoping that the upper segment will fuse into the bone. I guess the question should of been what is the normal time frame for this? He did tell me that my back two segments are rock solid which means they have both fused into the bone properly. Anyway, I am going to give him a call today because I do have some swelling and a little redness where the pain is coming from.
