Hi ,

Unfortunately Yahoo doesn't supply us with those kind of interesting tidbits. I can get an idea from scanning through the membership lists and it does seem as though a majority use the individual email option. I suspect as you do that there are an awful lot of people that use the individual email because they don't know there are other options.

I use the email option because it's easiest for me. I have to read every post anyway so I might as well have them delivered to me, right? LOL I share your dislike of the digest format. Yahoo does a very poor job of that in my opinion. I'm just glad there are options towards which I can direct people when the individual email choice proves overwhelming as it sometimes does.

Queenie Bee...are there any stats for the Mode-of-Message Delivery as used by our members? WHen I've been on GEnealogy Rootsweb Sites there was always a little Stats Counter available every month to see this sort of onfo.

It would be interesting to see how many use which Mode.

I swapped from Personal E-mail to reading the messages via the Web Page because it is so much easier to scan..scroll. ..pick n'choose & also to get a quick idea of what is in a message from the first couple of lines.

Totally solves the problem of having ones Personal E-amil Box from getting over whelmed by stuff I don't need/choose to read.

I also like the way I can get quick acces to the Files/ Archives/Photos etc.

The Digest Mode just seemed like a JUMBLE to me....couldn' t cope with that at all!

I suspect that most people get the E-mail Mode 'cos they haven't noticed the other possibilites when they first signed up!

Even scanning the options selected can be misleading because I get the

digest just to have it accessible if needed but I do 99.999% of my

reading and all my replying on the web. I don't have to read them all as

in right now having not been here for a few days, I'm not about to go

back and try to read all. I figure if i missed something I needed to

see, someone will let me know.
