Hey ,

Thanks for the post, it was helpful! What exactly does SARPE stand

for?

I think a shower works because I get in the shower feeling cold and

crappy and I just stand under it for awhile letting it warm me up and

when I'm done, I feel much better and it feels like some swelling has

gone down. My doctor/surgeon said nothing about using heat packs but

he said to use ice packs. I know doctors know best but sometimes

patients do too.

Also, what kind of diet were you on after surgery? Mostly liquids?

For 2 days all I had was Ensure-type stuff and water and then on the

2nd day of nothing but liquids I got a protein craving and had some

ravioli. I didn't need to chew it, my tongue easily mashed it so I

could swallow it. Recently I've had Spaghettio's & Meatballs and I

used a fork to mash up the meat. I know I'm really only supposed to

have liquidy things, but once in awhile a little solid food (properly

mashed up) can't hurt, can it?

Thanks,
