Hello there, Braces-Buddy!! So, how are things? I haven't seen any

posts from you lately regarding your own status: how's the process

going for you? Have you gotten your braces on yet? Yesterday I got my

ceramic brackets installed on the top and bottom, and received a one-

week reprive on the spacers. I go back to the OD next Tuesday for

them, then the next Tuesday to have them removed and the bands,

archwires, and ligatures/o-rings put on. My brackets feel better

today; the ones on the top feel okay but the ones on the bottom are

still bothering me. They feel like they are trying to attach

themselves to the inside of my lower lip. I have put lots of wax on

the offenders - wax works really well. My co-worker named has

had braces for about a year now, and told me the first week for the

brackets were the worst for him. He told me to use alot of wax.

Probably next Tuesday they will feel good just in time for the

spacers to be put in! LOL! I will be taking lots of Naproxen! All

this misery - just in time for my appointment with my OMS on

Wednesday - it's round two of " Question & Answer Time " and I am

accumulating questions every day for my beloved Dr. to answer.

I hope I can come to a final decision regarding the LeFort; he told

me three weeks ago that if I decide not to let him do the LeFort, he

will do all he can to persuade me otherwise. He firmly believes that

I would benefit greatly from that procedure, or he wouldn't have

mentioned it in the first place. I feel that I am really leaning in

the direction of letting him do it, but need him to answer some more

questions and address some more of my concerns before I can give him

the go-ahead. Wow! - I've come a long way in just three weeks; I was

so-o-o against the LeFort three weeks ago. I guess I just needed some

time to think about it, and all the feedback I received from the

people in this group was instrumental; thank you to all who have

supported me throughout this!! I'll keep all of you posted. ~~ Diane
