relapse after long recover period, input please

Hi everyone. I was active on this site 2+ years ago. I had surgery

August 5th of 2003. Anyway, I had my upper moved forward 8mm and my

lower moved back 3mm. All has been well until recently. I started

experincing pain in my maxilla under my nose and to the left. It feels

sore to the touch and I can now feel the screws (and hinges) in my

maxilla and I AM FREAKIN TERRIFIED I am relapsing. I always swore that

if it happened, I would not go through with surgery again and I wont.

It pains me to think I will have gone through all of this for nothing

except now I have a permanently numb lower lip. I can't go back and

see my surgeon do to issues I had with the office manager. I will call

tomorrow and see if I can get in to see another M & O surgeon in my area

( I Have since moved as well) ASAP but I was hoping for some feedback

from some of you. I will try to get my records from UCLA and take them

to see the new doc and I am hopeful that a new doc will be able to

help and I wont have to go back to UCLA.

PS, I have had my braces off for almost a year as well.
