Guest guest
The body cannot digest wheat at all - especially gluten. It does major damage to the stomach and intestines. A person who has Celiac Disease cannot have anything at all with wheat, gluten or related products. It is a difficult diet to follow, but not impossible. There are more and more alternatives now, especially since we are on the whole grain kick. In our house, my husband has been told no or little carbs, no sugar, no bad fats. It has been somewhat of a change to our household diet. For years we've had to avoid milk (caseine in particular), so one more change did not seem like much. Ha! I never thought I would crave pasta as much as I do. I found whole grain pasta, but won't eat it. Then I found a pasta that is made with rice, barley and some other stuff and he has accepted that one. My husband has lost weight and now eats FRUIT and VEGETABLES!!!! And he does not snore anymore. It's worth the sacrifices! Jodi Z
