Guest guest
Well our endo called today to let us know that he had been doing some research with regards to gh and RSS, he has tried to contact Dr.H and has not had any luck and he doesn't see any reason to wait to start Noah on GHT. We had told him when he had called with the testing results that we wanted to wait until Noah gained some weight so that he was 15% weight to height. Does anyone know if it is just in the letter from Dr. H about the weight or is there an article that specifically addresses the weight issue that I can fax or send him a copy to help explain it. Our Ped wants us to go to Toronto where the endos have dealt with RSS and get their opinions, but warned us that they probably wouldn't look at the test results from London and would want to do their own testing. Does the GH improve appetites too? H ... I think that you and I are in about the same place as far as our boys are concerned (except we haven't had any hospital stays yet, touch wood) ... plateau for a long time with the weight etc. Our ped mentioned to us about the possibility of a g tube if the periactin doesn't help (and for some reason he didn't hold much faith in the periactin or so it seemed to me). Like Jodi said though (I think I've been saying that a bit) you are doing a great job and sometimes we have to give it a little time. We are doing pretty good with the Periactin so far. Only 4 days in and here's hoping. Dawna Matt 13, 11, Kaitlyn 8, Noah 3 RSS, Periactin, 19 lbs 8.7 ounces You know I just can't wrap my lips around the Canadian name for Periatin ...
