Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am having surgery Dec.20. As of right now, I am scheduled to have my upper and lower jaws done, as well as my chin. I have an activley growing left condyle. Because of this my lower jaw goes to the right. My doctor told me that he is going to shave the left condyle down, move the right side of my jaw to where it is supposed to be, as well as reposition my chin. The upper jaw I was told, needs to be lifted up on one side. I was also told that if there is too much that needs to be shaved down, I will have a joint replacement. But I won't know that until Dec. I am honestly REALLY scared! I don't know what to expect. From reading these postings I am just getting more anxitious. I work full time and attend school at night... I can't stop either one... Will I be ok to go back to school after 14 days? Work, well, I can get some time off.... Any advice will be great!!!! Thanks. Pamela

Guest guest
Hi Pamela, First of all, welcome to the board! I have been learning so much from everyone here, and it really helps you get an idea of the process from beginning to end. Of course we are all different, but knowing about a wide range of other peoples experiences really helps. I am preop myself, so I can't directly answer your question, but I know you will get lots of great info from others who have been there. I think if you keep reading the daily posts, you will have a good idea of what to expect. I am getting there too! Hugs, Fran > > Hi everyone, > I am having surgery Dec.20.
