Guest guest
Hi Maloy, You should call the endocrinologist to let him know & see what he recommends. When did you last see the endo? No pubic hair then? Do you have the results of the recent bone age X-ray? I'd start there. If it has advanced, that might be an indication to start an aromatase inhibitor (along with the start of pubic hair). Does she also have any body odor or acne? I think the HG test you are speaking about is the hemoglobin a1c. This indicates a patient's blood sugar control over the last 2-3 months. This is mostly used to test for diabetes. I think if results are over 8%, you are starting to get in the dangerous range. A non-diabetic ranges between 4 & 6%, and 7% indicates controlled diabetes. Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) is a minor component of hemoglobin to which glucose is bound. Kim C. toSubject: question on pubic hair Just noticed tonight that Tori had what looks like the start of pubic hair on her vaginia. She is five!! 1. Do I call the Ped, the endo or the genticist or what specialist? We have an appt with the genticist on the 14 of Dec. 2. We just saw the endo and he said everything looks good. Growth was 3 inches in the last year and weight gain was 5 lb. She is more on the SGA side than the RSS side. She does have the g tube and is periatin. New bone age xray was done along with blood work for hypergycimia a HG something is what they called it. It would be able to look back over the last two months to see what was going on with the blood sugars. any insight would be helpful Maloy mom to tori
