For anyone with concerns about pending surgery, rest easy. I had 5

incisions inside the mouth in my 3 hours on the table, and honestly

the only pain I've had (nearly 3 months now) was the canula. I had a

silicone block inserted years ago, and that had to come out before the

genioplasty. I had lower jaw 7mm advance, genio 8mm advance, and cheek

implants. Total cost under $12,000AUD in Sydney, excluding theatre and

accommodation covered by health fund. I could have left the hospital

after 2 days, but I stayed another coz it was free and I was comfy

watching the tv in the ceiling. Numbness has mostly faded, and the

drooling prob was only temporary when the lips wouldn't close early

on. Teeth had the rubber bands for 2 months in the corners of the

mouth, and the front bands were on for a couple of weeks. It took just

a week before I was stuffing chocolates in my mouth. I felt really

good in the recovery ward, and the swelling was gone in a few days. Go

for it!
