organic shortening -- illegal?

All,

I notice that the SCD Bakery uses organic shortening as one of the ingredients

in its products. After eating one of the baked goods, I had a stomach ache.

Now I'm wondering whether the shortening contains vegetable oil, which is

clearly illegal on SCD.

Should shortening be avoided as a rule on SCD?
