Guest guest
Good Morning Elmo I am 12 days post op from having upper and lower jaw surgery. I was not wired only splinted and rubber banded. But yes right out of surgery I could talk just not perfect. The morphine in the hospital helped. Hurt well every case is different and it just depends on how numb you are. I am only numb in one little spot on my nose so for the first 9 days I had pain in my upper jaw. Today on day 12 I have no pain just a little swelling in the mouth yet. And as for chewing food that depends on what your oral surgeon recomends. For me no I can't chew yet but I just blend everything. Last night I was hungry for Breakfast so I blended 2 eggs, 2 pancakes 2 sausage links added milk to thin out and wow It was good. You just have to get a little creative. Good luck. Dennis~ In orthognathicsurgerysupport , elmo7532 <no_reply@y...> wrote: > Has anybody had a Jaw Surgery before?
