Guest guest
Good Morning. Well yesturday was day five for me. I felt the worst. Pain levels were through the roof and I flet like crap. I was starting to wonder why in the hell I ever did this? But as I have read on here there seems to be one horrible day and then it gets better everyday. Irene I 2 have trouble sleeping at night. For me the nose is just a little stuffy. If I lay down in bed my face hurts so I have been sleeping in a recling chair. That seems to help quite a bit. Hope everyone is doing ok. Guest guest
Hi Dennis, Be sure to sleep inclined at least 45 degrees. I had a bed pillow, which had arms on it, and I lay smaller pillows inside it to cushion my lower back and set me up on the right angle. I did this for several weeks post-op. Once I did slide down in it, and woke up with a very sore face - I didn't do that again! Try a hot bath to help with the stuffiness - it is also relaxing and that can be very comforting at this stage. Are you using Sudafed or cleaning your nose out with q-tips/hydrogen peroxide, using a humidifier? Week 1 is the worst for many people (although not all of us, I had a very easy recovery), so take heart that things will start to get better for you soon. You've probably passed the peak in your swelling, so some of the discomfort will be relieved. Pamper yourself, be gentle to yourself. It's a temporary phase. Hang in there, > Good Morning.
