Guest guest
Hi Fran, Sorry to take such a long time getting back to you.... seems lately that everytime I sit down at my computer, I get called away again. I'm glad my post was helpful to you. Yes, if this surgery results in cosmetic improvement along with helping everything else, all the better! I welcomed my cosmetic improvements! That's interesting about your nose appearing straight from the front, yet not actually being well placed/well constructed. I agree with you... the body's abilities and ways of compensating are incredible. I'm so glad to hear that your braces are feeling much better. Do let me know how your first adjustment goes. I am also curious if they will be pleased about all your movement so far. No doubt they will be! I think everyone wants their teeth to be ready as soon as possible for the surgery. Uhg, I am waiting for my teeth to be ready as soon as possible post op!! All in good time I guess..... I'm sorry about the horrible allergies! That must have been just miserable to deal with in your childhood. I have a friend who's daughter has severe allergies & exzema and they just battle with it sometimes. I don't have anything severe, but in recent years I've developed eczema on my face that comes and goes. When it is inflammed, it is HORRIBLE. The irritated patches of skin just burn and burn and burn. I don't have anything like what you have described however. I am so glad that you have discovered a medication finally that does that trick! That's wonderful! Do you know what it is that you are allergic to that causes the eczema? You made a distinction about it being atopic... what does that mean? Explain please! (I'm not as well versed in such things.... ) thank you! I ask because of my own very recent discovery of my problems with my skin...I basically finally got a name to an ongoing problem, and that was about it. My Dr. hasn't done much more with it, so I don't know what's causing it or anything. We'll see how this winter goes, but I am dreading it! I have no idea what my allergy injections were- if they included cortisone or not, I don't know. I have my old medical records, I should look! I do know offhand that the injections were for dust mite allergies primarily. I had more breathing / bronchial issues, at least according to my doctors (I remember feeling fine and would have been happy to forego the shots! but you know how dr.s are sometimes! ) A root canal at 13! That's terrible! Sounds like your risks didn't outweigh the other serious problems you were having, but what a tough situation... and difficult to still be dealing with today with all this surgery and such. Rough business.... I agree, fixable problems are the best kind to have... That's a good attitude, I don't know if mine would be so good if I were in the same situation. But you and you're posts have always impressed me that way- you have such a great attitude. Well, I'm glad my post was helpful! I will look up what my injections were because now I am curious, and in the meantime, I'll also be waiting to hear how your first adjustment went this week! Best wishes for only good news!! Take care & hugs back, Katja
