Guest guest Posted October 1, 2010 Report Share Posted October 1, 2010 Oxalobacter formigenes is a bacteria that lives on cabbage leaves and is apparently superb at degrading oxalates. I have recently learned of a juicing method (cabbage, carrot, and apple) that enables the bacteria to colonize colons (where it currently seems to have little presence in modern adults) and solve oxalate problems. Since cabbage is a legal food on SCD, would the juicing of cabbage for the purpose of getting this bacteria to colonize the colon be legal?
