Stomach pains and bloating ...

Once a month or so, if I am not attentive I have some serious stomach problems.

It can be caused by medications, stress or my cruciferous (raw vegetable) diet.

I have found that keeping yogurt or Activia/Dan Active around (and eating it of

course) helps a lot. If I eat the yogurt 3-4 times a day, it can clear up

within two days. If I eat it only once or twice a day, it might take 5 days to

clear up totally. If I don't do anything, I will suffer with the bloating and

discomfort until I do something. The other thing that can help if you don't

like yogurt is probiotic acidophilus (tablet found in the vitamin/mineral aisle

of the store). The delicate balance of flora and fauna in your system can get

out of whack and make you feel absolutely lousy. Just a thought. It can't hurt

to try it. I like the fruit and low calorie yoplait yogurt, but my

daughter-in-law likes low calorie vanilla yogurt and prefers it on her granola

cereal in the morning. Oh, and I make my husband eat it when he gets " gassy " and

it clears him up too (lol).
