Guest guest
Maybe some of you still remember me? I had upper jaw surgery to correct an open bite and got my retainer off in April this year. I also got Married on the 29th of April so it was great to be able to smile without being self conscious that day. I'm just a little concerned as since my retainers have come off, unfortunately my bite has changed. I saw the surgeon a few weeks ago and he seemed a bit disappointed too. My midline is off and my bite is starting to open again, although no where near as bad as it was originally. My teeth are quite straight though, which i'm happy with. I will be meeting with the ortho and surgeon again in October to discuss this further. I'm worried that they may want to do further surgery..i'm not sure if i want to..i think i could live with my current bite although it may get worse. I'm a bit disappointed however i have no regrets whatsoever about having my surgery as it was a success and my teeth are much better than they were. I don't want to depress anyone who is going through this now, what has happened to me is probably quite rare. I would love to hear your feedback. I have missed the support from you guys.
