Yep, you're absolutely right.

Jac, you keep it up, girl!

  Re: OT Politics

Bush did what other war time presidents have done, and that is visit

the troops. It is a moral booster for them, but politically, of

greater value during a re-election campaign. He is politically

vulnerable due to his initiating the war in Iraq, not finding any

weapons of mass destruction, the daily deaths of soldiers due to

terrorism and so a " feel good " photo-op like his trip to Iraq will

be

invaluable to his re-election campaign.

Actually, I missed that post - must have deleted it. I'm one of those firm

believers in the delete key, if the post doesn't catch my eye, I delete it.

Sometimes when I'm in a hurry, I delete too quickly and miss things.

I must have jumped to the wrong conclusion in this situation, as you

suggest. I still feel that Jac should be able to get support here though

and hope that she sees how many people are here for her.

Yes I think some ppl are jumping to conclusions about the original post. It

was actually some of the comments made after in regards to it...that got a

little dicey and I for one am very glad someone stepped in to diffuse it

before it kept going. We all know where political discussions go. I mean

all someone said is please watch the references to the leadership...LOL that

is all..then feelings got hurt /boggle. Chill guys! We really shouldn't be

taking this stuff so personally.

At any rate....I prefer us to watch our comments in regards to our

leadership is all. That is a matter of respect for each other period and no

I won't hit the delete key if ppl insist on going on about it I'll just

leave myself. I did not sign up to hear political debating and it was

heading there. Just because I feel this way does not mean I'm not being

supportive. If your post didn't touch on this specifically about the

leadership, then I wouldn't worry about it because I'm not referring to you.

I'm not referring to anyone at this point as no post got political

really...I just want it to not turn into a feud and certainly don't want it

to blow up into a political debate.
