something to think about

Well here is something to think about.

Adam had a science test on Monday and (since I am trying to make him more

independent and responsible for his learning) I didn't get into the study time.

I just told him to do it. Also we have a system of reward right now (that is

rather high!! but for now I have to use the big guns;where if he gets an A on a

test he can buy a game for his game boy. Just for now we are doing this, I need

him to experience success and then begin to internalize the need to do well

without external rewards, and I would never ask him to get an A if I didn't

think he could get one).

Anyway, so he brings down his science test for me to see today and the aide

comes too (she wanted me to see the score right away). He got 90% he did really

really well and I wasn't involved AT ALL in his studying.

Here's the kicker guys. After Adam returned to the class the aide says to me

" Debby I swear I didn't help him on this one LITTLE BIT he just did all this

totally by himself " . And I said " I know Cora, I heard him reciting these

definitions and I knew he knew it " . She says......(man I could scream!!) " Adam's

teacher says that I am lying, he says I MUST HAVE helped Adam with the test, he

couldn't have done this well all alone. "

The man refuses to believe the aide when she says he did the test himself.

Geez!! I know he can do it!!!!

OH man!!!

Deb
