Guest guest
Hi Jeannie, Welcome to our group. I hope we can answer your questions. I read your message. I noticed that you said you were terrified. Please, relax. As far as anyone knows, no child has died from RSS. This is not life threatening. In the end, barring any other medical problems or some terrible accident, your child will be fine. Many of the children on this list are perfectly healthy, except for RSS. My son is one of them. If the worst thing that ever happens to him is RSS, then I will be a very happy parent. As far as knowing if you have the right diagnosis, none of us do. There is not test to confirm or deny RSS, so it is a diagnosis of last resort. So all of us wonder whether or not our child has RSS or some other yet unnamed cluster of medical problems. In the mean time, please ask all the questions you like. We will do our best to answer. Please tell us about your son. How big is he? How is his appetite? How big was he when he was born? How was he diagnosed? When did you first suspect something was up? Is he an only child? Last, be careful, step out of line and I will send attack electrons from my iron fist after you -- just kidding of course. I hope this helps.
