FW: Radio documentary about Celiac

Hi all,

I am forwarding this message from radio producer , a recently-diagnosed celiac. I have listened to the show and it is very well done. Mostly celiacs with "typical" symptoms telling their story. Very stirring and likely to make celiacs angry all over again at the docs who can't seem to figure out how to diagnose this disease. I think this documentary is a good way to let people know what celiac disease is and how it feels to have this disease.

I see it will be on KQED, Saturday, December 18, 2004, at 2 pm. I will also be trying to get local Santa Cruz PR stations to play it (more about this later). Is there a San PR station? KTEH?

This is being carried by stations across the country, so spread the word to those who live in other states where the program will be aired.

Pam,

I'm writing to let you know about a documentary about Celiac Disease that I produced which will air on public radio in your area in December. I hope that you will let other Celiacs know about it.

The show is called "Gut Reaction" and it tells the story of a life with CD (the pain, discomfort, confusion, frustration, embarrassment, discovery and recovery) through the voices of Celiacs.

The program will air as part of the public radio documentary series "Soundprint." It will be sent to stations on December 17th and will air beginning that day.

I have a list below of the stations that carry "Soundprint" and the times that it's on. As you read the list, remember that the 17th is a Friday. So if the station airs the show on Saturday, it will air on the 18th; if it airs Sunday, it will be on the 19th, etc.

I'll write again closer to the date to remind you.
