Silly Q: why can't wire for braces ALSO be ceramic?

I was thinking the other day: I like my ceramic braces on the top, and

they're not too noticeable, except for the metal wire that runs

through them.

I'm just curious, perhaps no one here knows though...if they can make

the brackets ceramic (and thus camouflaged), why can't they do the

same with the wire?? If that were possible, I would think my braces

would be just about as invisible as possible.
