Another situation that made me know getting a DOC band was the right choice :)

My 11 month old son is in his last 2 weeks of wearing his band! He had

flattening on one side of his head and now it looks perfect :)

Yesterday, we were at IKEA when a woman in line in front of us asked why he was

wearing a helmet. I explained. Then she shared that she wishes they had them

40 years ago because her brother has very noticeable flatness on one side of his

head and he was always embarrassed by it. She was from the Philippines and she

said that in school there, boys were required to have crew cuts. Her brother's

head was so lopsided that his mom had to very carefully and artful cut his hair

so it wasn't completely noticeable.

I'm so glad I chose to band my son:) It's stories like this that confirm the

value in banding, even if it is just " cosmetic " .
