Guest guest
Irma-- My suggestion to you is that YOU call your doctor. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. Sometimes physicians prefer a call from you, because you can always reach their office between certain hours, but they can't necessarily reach you without a little bit of phone tag. There may be a reason they haven't called you, and they may need a reminder. Stick up for yourself! -- I say let the doctor's colleague check up on you. You're paying for use of a certain hospital and the surgeon's SURGICAL expertise. It sounds like from reading the posts here, the check-ups will be fairly straightforward; it's unlikely that you'll have significant adjustments made and the alternative doctor will only be needed to ensure that you're not getting infections or migration of bone. Forty minutes each way is a LOT of time out of a busy physician's schedule. My four cents.
