Hmmm, sounds like maybe the herbs that where the leaves are the part used

MIGHT be more likely to be legal. Some, anyhow. If we can find out.

Meanwhile I'll stick to my mint and ginger.

I checked into the constituents of some of the herbs you mentioned. I

am still trying to figure out the effect on polysaccharides in an alcohol

tincture. But here are the ones I know to be illegal for the SCD.

Dandelion root: 12% pectin, 30% inulin

wild yam: 15% mucilage

It looks like most all roots have mucilaginous compounds, even

Echinacea root is 17% inulin, so I am not sure why it is legal. I am

still trying to figure all of this out.
