Guest guest
Get new notes from docs as often as possible stating your prob and why you should not be denied, this helped me to get the disability to go through Good Luck Colleen
Guest guest
If you're going to be a a pain in the butt, and you are right to be one, go to the top. Find the name of the company's CEO and write to him with the envelope marked 'personal FAO' whoever he is - this tactic often gets remarkable results. In England, by the way, Insurance companies rank below used-car salesmen and gangrene in popularity - they really hate paying out - I would guess it's the same the world over. Give 'em hell kid! Guest guest
, Just keep at it hon. If you have to call them every single day and do nothing but waste their time, then do it!! lol I often had to appeal denials for Matty's care...insurance companies, above everything else, are for-profit corporations, and their bottom line is making money. If there is any way that they can weasel out of paying a claim, they will. All I can tell you is to be persistant, if you know that whatever you were denied is a service that is supposed to be covered under your policy...In my experience, I was a lot more tenacious than they were, and I almost always won. Have your doc send them new documentation every chance s/he gets. It really stinks to have to fight with insurance, but hang in there hon!! *hugs* folchel@... wrote: > Has anyone ever appealed a decision to their insurance company? I did and > they denied it again. Guest guest
Having a doc that writes good reports, and is willing to write updates on your condition, is so important. A little change in wording can make a BIG difference in getting approved. If the doc says that "she cannot sit longer than 20 minutes" but gives no clear reason why, you could be denied. If he gives the diagnosis and then says that it makes you disabled to the point that you are "unable to work" AND "cannot sit longer than 20 minutes, it will carry a lot more weight.
