Guest guest
Hi there SCD pros! I am wondering if I need to cut down on the animal fats I am eating? I don't scrape off any of that white hardened fat after the chicken stock/broth has cooled down in the fridge, and I broth/stock 3-4 times a day. I'm in my 28th day of the SCD (YAY!!!) and I am about 14% body fat... under the healthy range. I have always been this way, but funny this, I have had gut issues for ~12 years! (all my adult life so far!!).... go figure- excuse the pun!! I am also tolerating and thoroughly enjoying butter (about 4-5 teaspoons a day) and the Quark (dry curd cottage cheese). Should I decrease my animal fats in the broth? Or butter? Cholestrol levels have always sat at about 4-5 for me, so it's not a problem before starting the diet. Thank you kindly for your feedback, Fiona=)
