Hello Everyone Question regarding plate removal

I posted a note a while back about my face looking like there was a

golf ball stuck in my cheek. Well...I went to see the surgeon and he

said that the right side plate was infected and I am now scheduled for

another surgery to have it removed... ahhhhhhhhh

Has anyone out there had this done? Is it a big deal or what??
