Guest guest
Marilyn, I want to try this chicken salad recipe that I saved (the one where you can use your avocado mayo to bind it) but had a question about the ingredients. The recipe says " Shallots " but when I read through it, it sounds like the vegetable you are referring to is actually green onions a/k/a scallions. Shallot http://home.howstuffworks.com/shallots1.htm Green onion http://www.fabulouslybroke.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/green+onions+scallions\ ..jpg Can you please confirm this? I am excited about trying this recipe. I liked your note about cooking up a bunch of chicken, then grinding it and freezing in 1-pound bags. That should make life easier! I'm going to try using the grater attachment on my food processor to grind the chicken since I have no meat grinder. Chicken Salad (an LSCDL recipe) 4-6 boneless chicken breasts 2-3 shallots per chicken breast Legal poultry seasoning or just powdered sage teaspoon white pepper per chicken breast pinch of salt per chicken breast (optional) 1 batch mayonnaise Thanks!
