Guest guest
Congratulations ! Don't be scared, it's exciting, and it will soon be over and you'll be on the other side, recovering and so glad you did it. I don't have sippie cups, but should probably get one at this point ... you can get them in the baby section of the grocery store. They're just a small cup with a removable lid that has a raised straw-like slit to pour the drink straight into your mouth. As for syringes, they gave me a bagful at the hospital, along with a long piece of IV tubing, which I cut into 4 inch sections and screw onto the end of each syringe where the needle would normally go. I shoot all food and drink down my throat, and it works great. I wouldn't bother buying them, as I'm sure your hospital can just give you some. I'm on my 6th day post op, and have only broken one so far, and still have a bunch waiting to be used. Best of luck! Don't be scared! It's a good thing that it's finally happening, and hey: at least YOU get to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner! I keep joking that i'll be sipping a " Thanksgiving Smoothie " while everyone else is chowing down Best, Jen surgery date: 11/10/05 upper, lower, and genio > > Hi all, > Well, its settled. I will use the first surgeon (the one recommended by my dentist) and I have set the date to Dec.6. OH DEAR!!!!
