Guest guest
Dear Sun Heals, Thank you for your prompt reply to my post, and valuable info... I will be asking heaps more Qs as time goes on, but that info you responded with really prompted me to get clear about what I am doing here, and to narrow my resource base at this early and critical stage! Thank you!! I read and re-read the BTVC book chapters 9 and 10, and it is much clearer now! I am leaving th GAPS diet... and will possibly turn to that in the future for added guidance... I am addressing my gut issues, not a learning difficulty, however I will acknowledge that I get a 'foggy mind' and scattered thoughts quite regularly, most def from the bug overgrowth in my tum!! Just wondering if what I am experiencing right now is a food reaction or bug die off??.... i have had diarrhea for the past 24 hours, and I haven't had this consistently for probably 2 years! My food doesn't seem to be digesting either... and poo is very heavy and sinking to bottom of toilet... due to high protein intake at the moment I am guessing. Also, my guts have been churning these past 2 or 3 nights, and very uncomfortable... keeping me awake. This settled down completely in the first 4 days/nights, but has flared up again. Also, since I have been on the strict diet of broth, soup, eggs and only carrot and a bit of pumpkin and onion (not sure I was allowed these two.. but I thought I was!!), for 1 week now, should I add in other veges?? I will be seeking dry curd today to make some lemon pie! I am unsure of what to do from here-on-in, as I have diarrhea at the moment! Thank you again! Gratitude always, Fiona =) > > Fiona, > As per the inro diet in BTVC, you need to add carrots to the chicken soup! Puree it with the strained broth when the soup is done cooking. The carbs from the carrots will help you. Also it is not recommended to follow 2 diets at the same time - you will not only end up confusing yourself, you will not be following either diet to the letter! > Eat any quantity of the intro foods including cheesecake that you like to avoid staying hungry for too long. If you can't find DCCC (dry curd cottage cheese) in your area use SCD yogurt that has been chilled 8 or so hours, then drained for another 6ish hours and use the yogurt cheese instead of DCCC. > Follow the intro for about 2-3 days only, then start adding well cooked veggies and fruit one at a time to see how you tolerate each one. The veggies and fruit must be peeled with seeds removed. > Suneeti (Crohns, SCD 2000) >
