Guest guest
hey becky girl, wow that tan was with spf45, you must get really dark with less spf!! Lucky you! I tan dark on my body like a good ol' mediterranean girl but on my face somehow i manage to always stay red. must be that irish blood in me that i inherited from my father. well i'll keep my fingers crossed that you get that annoying splint off soon!!! your OD sounds like an amazing woman to be still working this close to her labour day. how has being back at work been? I am still in Italy but fly out to NYC tomorrow for a few days. I'm having my 8 week check up with my OMS and also seeing my OD who needs to tighten my braces again. I actually can't wait for him to tighten them because since closing the gaps from where they removed my upper bicuspids, more gaps have appeared in between other teeth. most annoying but nothing major to get upset about so i am not complaining. i am looking forward to being told that i can start chewing again. At 7 weeks a no chew diet is starting to get old and I desperately need to start getting some more meat into my diet. I'm always so weak and tired and I suspect that it's not just the anesthesia but depleted diet. Still I have been enjoying minced meat and meatballs all mushed up in tomatoe sauce tremendously!!! I have to say, the food has been one of the best parts of being back home in Italy! Well I'll keep you posted on how my OD app. goes tomorrow (I go straight to his office as soon as I land at JFK...eeep!) and you let me know what the news is on the splint front. Sara xx > i'm so excited that you noticed my tan ) i'm smiling (my goofy > smile) ear to ear!!! joey has insisted that i wear spf45 and sit > under an umbrella during recovery...so it's taken a little longer to > get a little darker... > > so how are you doing? i still get tired pretty quickly myself...it > comes and goes at the wierdest times. i saw my ortho today - and she > said to ask the surgeon on wednesday if i could remove my splint! > wahoo!!! i'm hoping it comes out before she has her baby...she > doesn't have an ortho partner so i'd be stuck until she comes back. > she's due aug 12th - so here's hoping ) > > she also said the cleft looks much better than last week and is > healing nicely. she didn't mention a fistula at all...so maybe it was > nothing...here's hoping! oh...and she took my lower grin-locks (sp?) > off since i haven't needed any banding. it feels nice, but i'll be > happy when the top ones are off too! > > are you still in italy? hope you're having a good time wherever you are! > > -becky
